The Safety Training Specialist plays a key role in ensuring employees are properly trained to work safely and confidently in a manufacturing environment.
This role focuses on delivering hands-on safety training, maintaining compliance records, and supporting a zero-injury workplace goal.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver and coordinate safety training for Forklift, Crane, and Aerial Work Platform operations
- Conduct on-the-job training to ensure safe and compliant equipment use
- Maintain and update the safety training matrix and records
- Develop clear work instructions for safe lifting and rigging activities
- Act as the owner of Safe Lifting procedures and ensure compliance on the floor
- Support inspections and maintenance tracking for lifting equipment
- Assist in managing PPE and safety supplies
- Record and track safety data including hazard reports and JSAs
- Support investigations for safety incidents and provide recommendations
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, ISO, and internal safety standards
- Promote continuous improvement in workplace safety practices
What We’re Looking For
- 5–7 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Certified trainer for Forklift, Crane, and Aerial Work Platform operations
- Strong knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety regulations
- Experience working with heavy equipment and manufacturing operations
- Strong communication and training delivery skills
- Ability to read and understand technical instructions and safety documents
- Experience supporting incident investigations and safety improvements
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to work full-time on-site in a fast-paced environment
